Sunita is originally from Penang, Malaysia. She was a student here at St Christopher’s International Primary School for three years before moving off to a local school.
Sunita gained her teaching experience at St. Christopher’s International Primary School ten years ago as a volunteer and support teacher as well as an English as an Additional Language teacher for the Nursery classes. In September, 2014 she was hired as a full-time Nursery class teacher. Four years later, she moved on to teach Year One. She is an experienced teacher with a Degree in Education and a passion for the outdoors.
Sunita is married with one son, Dhaaryan.
Jasmin has been residing in Penang for close to 20 years. She has a passion for teaching and has been a teacher in SCIPS for 15 years. Jasmin has a vast experience of teaching in the early years (Reception) as well as Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2). She was born and brought up in Ipoh and graduated high school from Main Convent Ipoh. Jasmin continued her studies in America where she studied at the University of Oklahoma and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
She resides in Penang with her husband Jiv, a senior engineering manager and has three children, the first, a mechanical engineering graduate; her second is studying engineering and a daughter who is studying law. Jasmine enjoys nature walks, chilling with friends and cooking. Every year has been an adventure and she is excited about starting her 16th year in SCIPS and looks forward to welcoming her class of 2021.

Paul is from the United Kingdom and has a BSc in Psychology and Philosophy from Glamorgan University. He completed his PGCE in 2004 and worked as a primary teacher and senior leader in London for 14 years. Paul and his family moved to Penang in 2018 and he is now starting his sixth year working at SCIPS. Paul has worked across all the key stages in the school, all of them equally enjoyable.
Paul and his family have fallen in love with Malaysia. His daughter Flora was born in Penang and his son Barney has now lived in Malaysia longer than in the UK! Paul‘s other loves include cricket, jungle runs, cycling, football, and exploring new countries and cultures.
Sarasu is originally from Kedah, Malaysia. She has a Bachelor Degree of Arts in English and Literature from University of Malaya and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from University of Sunderland, UK. She has taught for two years at an International School in Brunei and has moved back to Penang and now is teaching at the wonderful St Christopher’s. She has many years of teaching experience and has taught children from the age of 4 years to 11 years.
In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, reading books and cooking as well as spending time with her family! Sarasu is married to Raja and has two young adult children, Gisshara and Nidhis.
Jennifer is originally from Glasgow, Scotland, but has spent the majority of her life, living and working overseas. After graduating with a BA Honours degree in Business Information Technology, she moved to Hong Kong where she worked in the Finance Industry for around 15 years. She met her husband, Jonathan and they have a daughter, Charlotte. Jennifer gained her PGCE from Sunderland University whilst volunteering at SCIPS. She then worked for three years as a Y1 Teacher, before moving back home to Scotland where she taught in a local primary school for 2 years. For the last 3 years she has been working at an international school in Javea, Spain but has decided to return to Penang. She is very excited to be rejoining as a Year 2 teacher and being a part of the SCIPS family again. Outside of school she enjoys learning Spanish, reading, paddle boarding and scuba diving and is looking forward to exploring more of the beautiful islands nearby with her family.
