Sunita is originally from Penang, Malaysia. She was a student here at St Christopher’s International Primary School for three years before moving off to a local school.
Sunita gained her teaching experience at St. Christopher’s International Primary School ten years ago as a volunteer and support teacher as well as an English as an Additional Language teacher for the Nursery classes. In September, 2014 she was hired as a full-time Nursery class teacher. Four years later, she moved on to teach Year One. She is an experienced teacher with a Degree in Education and a passion for the outdoors.
Sunita is married with one son, Dhaaryan.
Elaine is a Malaysian Eurasian of British descent. She was trained as an Early Years teacher under the Persatuan Tadika Malaysia (Malaysian Kindergarten Association) at University of Malaya and upon graduation, studied Principles of Early Childhood Education under the London Montessori Centre. She has many years of teaching experience and has taught children from the age of 2-1/2 years to 6 years.
She is married to Vincent and has two young adult sons, Jeremy and Christian.

Shasi has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English Education Degree from the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman(UTAR). Shasi thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working in a national secondary school in Kampar, Perak to develop his teaching practice. He began his teaching career in a fully established Reggio Emilia inspired school, here in Penang. He received guidance and support from his mentors in Singapore to further develop his skills. He taught there for 2 years before joining the SCIPS family. Shasi is a textile and art enthusiast. In his spare time, he enjoys painting, volunteering and supporting the weavers.
Paul is from the United Kingdom and has a BSc in Psychology and Philosophy from Glamorgan University. He completed his PGCE in 2004 and worked as a primary teacher and senior leader in London for 14 years. Paul and his family moved to Penang in 2018 and he is now starting his sixth year working at SCIPS. Paul has worked across all the key stages in the school, all of them equally enjoyable.
Paul and his family have fallen in love with Malaysia. His daughter Flora was born in Penang and his son Barney has now lived in Malaysia longer than in the UK! Paul‘s other loves include cricket, jungle runs, cycling, football, and exploring new countries and cultures.
Lianne is from Penang, Malaysia and has a degree in English and Mass Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as well as a PGCE from The University of East London. This is her third time teaching at SCIPS having taught from 2000 to 2007 as a PE teacher and then in the Early Years department. She then went to teach at Brambletye School in the UK until 2011 where she worked as a Reception and Year 2 teacher. On her return to SCIPS in 2011, she taught Year 2 before taking time off to have her two children, Jake and Matilda, who are now students at SCIPS.
She enjoys sports, musicals, art and travel as well as spending time with her family!
Lianne is very excited to be back teaching in Reception having spent two years in Year 2.
Josephine was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia. She obtained her Diploma in Early Childhood Education from SEGI College Penang. She has also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education at the University of Greenwich. She graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded “The International Collaborations Prize for Best Completing Student on an International Collaborative programme”.
Josephine loves teaching in the Early Years and is enjoying the fun of teaching in Reception. She is married to Bryan and they enjoy spending their time exploring different places with good coffee and food
