Visual Arts

Art at St. Christopher's school is one of the key foundation subjects through which there is considerable scope for integrating other disciplines, skills and concepts.

Creative displays of children's own work can always be seen throughout the school. Art and craft relating to topic work is displayed in all the classrooms and around the school to give a stimulating background for the children's learning.

Every two/three years we celebrate children's art with an exhibition. In our last exhibition every single child in the school participated and was able to see a piece of their work on display. These art works are displayed around school  and several have also been donated to local charities.

By highlighting Art in this way we hope to create an awareness of the importance of Art in education, thereby building up this area of curriculum as a rich resource of self-expression and creative learning.
