Chinese New Year
On Friday 19th February, SCIPS celebrated the year of the Tiger with a visit from al lion dancing troup.The whole school assembled on the school field to watch the lions dance, hear the drums and receive a blessing for this lunar year. The children looked fantastic dressed in their Chinese outfits, tossed their salad and had a special Chinese lunch.
The school community have also been working hard on a beautiful new backdrop for our stage with a 15m long dragon made of brightly coloured scales all made by the children.
We would like to extend our thanks to Mrs Zeiler and her excellent PTC for making the day a success and so enjoyable for the children and staff.
