Here’s a checklist to help you with your child(ren)'s application for admission into St Christopher's:
Application for Admission Form
Complete a Registration Card to be placed on a waiting list. Once the school confirms a place for your child(ren), you are then required to complete the Blue Application Form.
Health Record Form
Complete a “Health Record” form (Medical Emergency Form). A medical practitioner’s endorsement is not necessary. However, if the student has a medical condition that requires attention, please give further details and a recent medical report. Please include information of blood group, immunization records and parent’s signature as consent for First Aid.
School Reports & Testimonial
An official copy of the recent year’s school report and testimonial regarding the student’s character and ability from the Principal/Class Teacher.
Other Possible Requirements
Any Malaysian parents who wish their child(ren) to enter into Christopher's International Primary School, Penang must comply with the Ministry of Education's admission criteria. Parents are requested to submit the completed Lampiran1 * and enclosed relevant documents for the Ministry's approval. The School will endorse this form upon receipt of all other documents stated on this checklist and any other supporting documents.
The response from the Ministry of Education may take several weeks and/or months (depending on individual applicants) Once the School and/or parents are notified of an approval letter from the Ministry of Education, the child will be offered a place subject to availability. For Malaysians returning from abroad and seeking approval from the Ministry of Education, please provide the previous records from overseas school(s).
Student & Dependent’s Visa
The Malaysian Immigration Authority requests that all foreign students obtain a Student and/or Dependent’s Visa upon acceptance by the School (with the exception Royal Australian Air Force Personnel and Diplomats are issued with a (PARA3 /Special Visa).
The School will provide the necessary letters to assist in your application to the authority. Once the relevant visas are issued, you are required to provide the School with a copy.
Kindly take note that various governmental department also require the following documentation* to be attached -
- Photographs: Enclosed two (2) recent colour passport-size photograph of Student, Father, Mother & Guardian (if applicable).
- Birth Certificate & Passport
Please provide a copy of the Student’s Birth Certificate with the full particulars including place of birth, parents’ name, etc. an extract copy is not sufficient.
Also include the following pages of each passport : cover, photo, particulars, expiry and visa page of the Student, Father, Mother & Guardian (if applicable). The original must be presented at the time of submission of the application or upon arrival prior to admission.
Applicable to students who are staying with an appointed Guardian. Parents must provide the School with the Guardian’s Photo, Passport and/or NRIC copy, contact details, and a letter confirming the appointment as guardian to child.
