Thank you for checking out our
employment opportunities.
A very warm welcome to St. Christopher’s, and thank you for
taking the time to view our website.
In doing so you have already indicated that you have one of
the qualities for which we are looking – a thoroughness of approach!
St. Christopher’s International Primary School is a non-denominational,
not-for-profit making establishment that celebrated its 40th
anniversary. We are very proud of both our history and our achievements
and recognise that one of our greatest strengths has always been the quality and
professionalism of our staff. Consequently, our recruitment process is
very thorough as we feel that maintaining the balance and ethos of our school
deserves our utmost consideration.
Currently we have met our quota of teachers
the academic year 2008/09. It is likely that we may have vacancies available as
there are contracts having
to come to a natural
end, August 2009. Therefore, if you are still interested in placing your
application with us, we will keep them on file.
Kindly take note that we only accept qualified candidates
and teaching applicants should have a minimum of
three years teaching experience (teaching and learning environment) and should
be excellent classroom practitioners. A flexible, child-centered approach to
education is one of the hallmarks of our school, so interested candidates will
be asked to demonstrate their willingness and ability to adopt this approach.
Please take this opportunity (if you haven’t already done so) to look carefully
through the rest of the website. Interested applicants should send a current
curriculum vitae, together with a letter of application, to the following
address:
By post : Mr. John G. Jones (Principal)
St. Christopher’s International Primary School
10 Nunn Road, 10350 PENANG, MALAYSIA.
Please note that whilst we will make every effort to
acknowledge email applications we are unable to do so for mailed applications.
Shortlisted candidates, however, will be notified by email and/or telephone.
As part of our process in selecting suitable
teachers, the Principal may visit applicants in their current school where
possible, and observe them teach.
What
next?......
We suggest you look at all the links in our
website … by doing this, you will certainly get to know us and the kind of
school we are! As stated in our advert we have a lot to offer the right
candidate and information on job opportunities for various teaching positions
are displayed in detail in this section.
