Principal's welcome
It gives me great pleasure, as Principal of St. Christopher's International Primary School Penang, to welcome you to our Web Site. As you browse through the numerous pages, you will find the wealth of information that I hope will generate significant interest.
You will learn all about the School's history and development, the philosophy and ethos; the broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum along with details of the School's structure, management, staffing, calendar events and the extensive extra curricular activities.
St. Christopher's is proud of its International population and with over 35 nationalities represented in our school community, the cultural and traditional diversity that is so evident amongst our pupils is of paramount importance, as we all have a great deal to learn from each other.
Apart from academic excellence, there is also a great deal of emphasis on aesthetic, physical and emotional development. Our approach is very much child centred, in an environment that is conducive to learning. Our purpose-built facilities provide the setting expected of a premiere International school, in a delightful, sought-after residential area of Penang.
We consistently boast of the 'SCIPS Family' as we promote the importance of friendship, respect, trust and values. Every new child that registers is immediately extended a warm and sincere welcome. We encourage and promote a strong and positive partnership with parents, who are always welcomed to actively participate in their child's education. The Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) strongly supports the School in this, and every other respect.
In leading St. Christopher's into its future phase of development, I am confident that through our continued commitment and high expectations, we will be able to meet the new challenges of the 21st. Century and further enhance the school as a centre of educational excellence that is fully recognised and respected throughout South East Asia.
We welcome your interest in our School and look forward to maintaining communication with you, whether you’re a prospective new parent, a potential new teacher or an ex-pupil.
